OFFICE MISSION AND STAFF DIRECTORY

MISSION

The Office of Budget and Planning reports to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and had the following responsibilites:

  • Collaborates across cabinet divisions in preparing the University's current and long-range budget plans.
  • Maintains the University's Responsibility Center Management system and its supporting data infrastructure.
  • Provides training, tools and support to University departments to assist in the management of their financial resources with respect to the RCM environment.
  • Allocates available resources through annual budget preparations.
  • Maintains the budget ensuring that expenditures do not exceed available resources.
  • Performs budget analysis and consults with budget managers throughout the University.
  • In cooperation wit other University departments, participates in institutional research.
  • Conducts numerous special studies drawing on an array of financial and non-financial information at its disposal.
  • Maintains and reports on the University's key performance measures, and provides other essential information in support of the budget planning process.
